McCormick family tradition - Old Navy 4th of July shirts!

This was mine and Matthew's first 4th of July together since the year we got married. That year we celebrated on a beach in Spain, this year we BBQ out back while our two kids played on their swing set. What a difference! It was a mellow, uneventful day for this family. The day before we adopted a swing set from our neighbors who are moving. So we knew the kids would be perfectly content staying home having new adventures out back. And that they did. They even had a chance to watch the Fort Hood fireworks show from up high.

This is how Buxton's night ended. While the adults were enjoying adult conversation out back, the kids passed out watching a movie.
