Off To The Fair

On Sunday, Buxton had a special date with Grandma Harrison and Auntie Jessica. Off to the Evergreen State fair to see the animals. I wasn't there, so there isn't much for me to post. However, Buxton told me all about it when he got home. I wish I would have got the first adventures he told on video, he's a little distracted during this one. I do know he had a great time, he's still talking about it!

Cousin Priest Turns TWO

Today we celebrated Priest Dean's second birthday! We had a great celebration at Lynnwood park with family. The kids had a n adventurous (and exhausting) time together. His big day isn't until the 5th, but he's expecting a baby brother or sister any day now and we didn't want him to miss out on HIS party.

This was Sissy's first time on a swing! She loved it, you can tell by all that movement in those chubby long legs!

My little nephew has an obsession with bikes right now. So for his birthday I made him a bike cake. As you've probably noticed, I enjoy making cakes, this is my third one since I've been here. It is stressful though, I'm hard on myself! Plus, with babies needing tending to, it take all day to finish.

At this park there was a sprinkler play land for the kids. I did bring Buxton's swimming trunks, but he was ready before I was! Besides getting in trouble for continuously drinking the water, he had a great time.

The highlight of the birthday boys day was getting his scooter! And as you can see, it just might have been Buxton's highlight as well.

As it would be for any two year old, it was challenging for Priest to share his new scooter, but each kid got a turn. Go B go!

During our time in the water, Buxton noticed some new kids playing on the slide, he ran over to see what they were up to. Only to discover these girls were pouring bubbles down the slide to make you go faster... and it did just that. What a mess!

Cousins

Buxton and Priest are inseparable. They have so much fun when they are together, rough housing, playing in dirt, and shooting hoops. They are a blast to watch and listen in on. We don't know too many people in Texas, so Buxton doesn't get as many play dates as I wish. Therefore, when we are home, he is on over load, to the point where Buxton has a royal melt down when it's time for Priest to go home. Oh my!

Priest calls Buxton "Bucket" and Buxton calls Priest "Peeest"

Buxton has learned to place all the blame onto his cousin. When I asked Buxton who pulled the flowers out of the pot, Buxton said "Peeest did it". Where do they learn that?!

In addition to the two year old cousins, we have our newest addition, Mikoto! He is now 3 weeks old and very healthy.

A Day Of Firsts

Today while hanging out in Grandpa's garden, Brayleigh Ann crawled for the first time!!! This video is for you Daddy! You won't miss a thing.

This wasn't the only first for the day. Brayleigh pulled herself up to a STANDING position! It was very exciting for me. She seems too young to be starting this, I'm too alone to have two running away from me! No video, but here are some pictures I took while shouts of joy poured out of my mouth!

And for the next first, Brayleigh tried Gerber Puffs today! They were her first solid snack. She did well with the texture, but like her big brother, seems to have an intolerance to wheat. Buxton grew out of this around age one, considering Brayleigh already has an intolerance to soy and lactose, we are hoping the same outcome for her.

Busy Busy Busy

As most of you know, one of our many reasons for visiting home for so long, is to be a part of my best friends wedding! I am the matron-of-honor and Buxton is the ring bearer in Jillianne's wedding September 18th. This past Saturday was the bridal shower us bridesmaids hosted. We had a wonderful time planning the party (busy busy busy)! It was a great celebration of Jill's upcoming union. We are anxiously approaching the big day! Julie (another maid) and I didn't see our families for two full days, we were so busy running last minute errands and baking! As you can see, we did a swell job on the cake!!! We had a blast making wedding dresses out of TP. I had the pleasure of putting together Jill's rehearsal bouquet (she managed to not break any ribbons)! Most people use gift bags now, so I had to improvise with the tissue paper. Keep you posted as the events leading up to the wedding unfold.

Grandparents Day

While I spent the day hosting a party for 20 women, my wonderful babies spent the day out with Papa and Grandma Harrison. They started their day with a mad scramble on Pike Street to find a restroom for our very well potty trained Buxton (who didn't even end up going)! After an exhausting start, they spent time at the Seattle Aquarium. I wish I could have been there to see Buxton's expressions as he saw all those animals... and as Sissy chugged along in her stroller! I did however hear all about it the next morning, B loved the underwater divers! They made the decision to extend their big day with a trip to the "golden arches" for lunch, Edmonds City Park (where Mommy and Daddy got married), and Edmonds beach. As you can tell by the pictures, our babies were in good hands! It was an exhausting day, for all four, but from what I hear, an adventure worth every "AH!" moment! Papa was the only one still worn out by the next day, Sunday nap!!!

Happy Harrisons

Half our time here in Washington is up. We've been staying with the Harrisons, it's time to share our babies with my family. Here's a glimpse of the joys we've had here at the Harrison House. Buxton has enjoyed many days out in the backyard watering plants, playing baseball with PaPa, and riding his motorbike! During Sissy's time outdoors, she is usually held, in her jumperoo, or rolling on the grass trying to eat rocks and whatever else she can get her plumbin hands on! Oh, Miss Piggy. Big Buxton and Little Buxton went for a "hike" down at Matthew's old stoppin' grounds (at the end of the block) and picked some blackberries... most of them didn't make it home! Brayleigh Ann surprises us each day with her words, her sassiness, and her movements, including a popular yoga move, downward facing dog, on her toes and hands with that tushy straight on up! When you tell her no... you have broke her delicate little heart into a hundred pieces, and you'll have to devote some time into mending that little heart! But she sure knows what "no" means!

Thank you PaPa and Grandma Harrison for being such wonderful hosts (you take in a lot with us three) and for being a HUGE help to me! We are blessed.
