Father's Day

Brayleigh Ray took a header off the picnic table bench onto... the concrete. It was horrible.
Best thing about being a boy? Not having to stop playing to find a restroom! Just drop your pants next to the nearest tree.
Daddy took a swim in the deep river.
Daddy and B setting up their fishing poles.
Buxton LOVED fishing. A whole lot of casting and reeling. The debate of the day: Matthew thought it was OK for Buxton to have a real hook on his pole... Mommy hated the idea. I freaked each time he would cast.
This year we celebrated Father's Day a day early due to Matthew's 24 hour shift on Sunday. The kids and I surprised Matthew with a fishing pole, some bait and seat covers (waterproof, of course) for his jeep. We drove about a hour and a half southwest to Blanco State Park for some river fishing and swimming. The Blanco river is about as far from crystal clear as you can get, in my opinion. Matthew and Brayleigh (Daddy's little girl) didn't seem to mind the fact you couldn't see what was swimming at your feet! Buxton may look like his Daddy and Sissy may resemble me, but big B is my mini me and little B couldn't act more like her Daddy. Buxton and I were nervous about the river and hanging out on the edge, while Daddy had to chase Brayleigh before she dove in. This state park is original because there is a man made swimming pool within the river. Beside the crowds and dirty water, it's a great idea!
We enjoyed a BBQ hot dog lunch and smores (my absolutely favorite food ever!) for lunch.
