On The Move Again

Brayleigh Ann is kickin' butt at this whole getting around thing, shes got the Army crawl down! She is the speed of light when she wants to be. When she was struggling with those health issues, her crawling (and eating solids) got put on hold. I'm here to tell you, she is back in the game. This video doesn't do her justice! She is not only fast, but sneaky. I've found her in places I didn't even know she could fit. Annie, our little explorer. As far as the solid foods, we are working our way back up from ground zero. Introducing one boring food at a time, taking into account her lactose and soy intolerance. But boy can this girl eat some oatmeal! We are moving to pears next, her old time favorite. She has earned another nickname, Miss Piggy!

SCC Family Camping Trip

The kids and I had the pleasure of spending four days in Leavenworth with my family and their church for a family campout. We enjoyed everything from swimming to hiking. Buxton had the time of his life playing outside all day long. He did however suffer from horrible melt downs when it was time to stop playing and go in the cabin. Brayleigh was held a lot, considering it was that or playing in the dirt! She was a good girl, made people smile. I was lucky to have a family friend, Skylar, there to help me out with the kids. And what a huge help she was! Buxton and Priest were connected at the hip, inseparable. They are a hoot when they're together. You can't always understand what they are saying, but they do! I won't release the number of s'mores I had, I'll just say "MMM MMM M MMM MM" That was the highlight of my trip! I love the camping atmosphere, campfires and meals cooked on the grill. It's hard to be away from Matthew (even more) when we are out doing family adventures. Fun down on the Wenatchee River. The water was a bit too cold for the boys.

I turned my back for 30 seconds and Buxton managed to escape with the big boys to go 'rock climbing' Boys will be boys. Much like his Daddy.

Buxton was quite smitten with Kierra (17 months), although he called her "Girl"

Those bikes were fun! Buxton wouldn't let me lean back and hold him in though. He wanted to be a big boy. Priest enjoyed sharing ice cream with Auntie.

Tomato Pickin'

Buxton and Cousin Priest did some tomato pickin' in Grandpa's garden. Buxton LOVES to eat the tomatos, even if they aren't red! He does however insist they are washed, he gets that from me. Priest on the other hand, he wasn't so sure about those tomatos. B and P also played with Mr. Slowski, the turtle, while he hung out in the pond.

Annie

Our baby girl has been struggling with some health issue, not that you can tell by the smiles below! The health issues have amounted to a lactose intolerance. We have switched her formula and she seems to be on the road to recovery! That's the power of prayer!

Beautiful Baby Boy

Mikoto Steven Luise Soto-McCormick was born August 4th at about 920am 7 pounds 9 ounces 21 inches long. He is a beautiful baby boy. We are so blessed to have him in our lives and I am honored to call him my nephew! Mikoto is a name Steven and Lorena created by combining their two last names. Luise is Lorens fathers name. He has a strong name to live up to! I am very proud of my brother and excited for this new chapter in his life.

Baby Boy Soto-McCormick

My little brother is now a DADDY! As scary as that sounds, it's true! Baby Boy Soto-McCormick was welcomed into this world just moments ago. I don't have any details, but we are on our way to meet the little fella!

Uncle Gabe Gets Hitched

Buxton King had the honor of being Uncle Gabe's ring bearer. We were honored to take part in Gabe and Shannon's wedding day and we are so happy for them. This was an exceptionally hard day to be without Matthew, not to see him standing up there with Gabe, but not a moment went by we didn't think of him!

Buxton's only mission was to deliver that pillow to Uncle Gabe any means necessary, mission completed! He did AWESOME. We are so proud of our little ring bearer! It was great practice for Auntie Jill's wedding in September.

HELP! ... I know I know, I need my husband home! At least I'm smiling about it.
